Stavro : Bashar Al-Assad on the edge

In partnership with “Cartooning for Peace“, once a week ARTE is publishing a press cartoon on events unfolding in the Arab world by illustrators involved in the various countries, but also by western cartoonists. This week: Stavro (Lebanon).
Press cartoonist since 1967, Stavro publishes in the Lebanese newspapers such as Ad Dabbour, La Revue du Liban and Al Balad and in newspapers around the world, including Jeune Afrique, L’Express, Le Monde, The Washington Times and so on. He has received numerous awards like The Caricature Trophy at the 4th Arab Media Festival in 2006 and the Arab Top Award of Excellence for his website stavrotoons.com. Stavro is also known for his talent as a photographer, in fact he founded Scoop, a magazine specialising in photography.
