He publishes his cartoons in Portuguese newspapers and magazines since 1975 : Diario de Noticias, A Capital, A Vida Mundial, O Jornal and Expresso. <br />His most famous and controversial cartoon (John Paul II depicted with a condom on the nose) was published in 1992 in the Expresso. Antonio is one of the two founders of the <a href="http://www.worldpresscartoon.com/en#/homepage" target="_blank">World Press Cartoon</a> and has received numerous international awards. <br />His cartoons are often exhibited.</p>

<p><a href="http://monde-arabe.arte.tv/wp-content/uploads/MAJOUB_taille-portrait-ok.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-24931" title="MAJOUB_taille-portrait-ok" src="http://monde-arabe.arte.tv/wp-content/uploads/MAJOUB_taille-portrait-ok.jpg" alt="" width="165" height="213" /></a>Born in 1967, Emah Hajjaj is a Jordanian cartoonist, who also works for various advertising agencies in Jordan as an illustrator, artistic director and copywriter.<br />Graduated from Yarmouk University in 1991 (Journalism and Graphic Design), he worked for various local and regional newspapers in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE.<br />He is also president of the Jordanian Cartoonists association.</p>

<p><strong>Ali Dilem</strong> began his career as a cartoonist with the daily Le Jeune Indépendant in 1990 then joined Le Matin in 1991 and La Liberté in 1996. He also works for the French programme Kiosque on TV5. The cartoonist is known for his outspokenness against the Bouteflika regime, cartoons which have earned him no fewer than sixty trials. On October 11 2010, Dilem was made a Chevalier of Arts and Letters after receiving a score of international awards, including the International Press Cartoon Prize in 2000.</p>

He worked for the magazine Safarir from 1980 to 1990. Since 1997, he has earned fame as the headline cartoonist for the daily Le Soleil. In May 2003, he won first prize in a caricaturist competition organised by the National School of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley.</p>

<p><a href="http://monde-arabe.arte.tv/wp-content/uploads/WILLIS-FROM-TUNIS-Portrait-Web.jpg"><img class="alignleft" title="WILLIS-FROM-TUNIS-Portrait-Web" src="http://monde-arabe.arte.tv/wp-content/uploads/WILLIS-FROM-TUNIS-Portrait-Web.jpg" alt="" width="179" height="179" /></a><strong>Nadia Khiari</strong> is a Tunisian cartoonist, also painter, Fine Arts teacher, and art director of an art gallery in Tunis. Her cat, Willis from Tunis, was born Thursday, 13th of January 2011, during the last speech of Ben Ali. Initially, this column graph of the cat was a way to share with the entourage of author, on facebook, his feelings about the historical situation that Tunisians were living. On the tone of wry humor, the tomcat chronicled the news daily. About twenty friends on facebook, Willis was attended by over 20,000 people today.</p>

<p> <strong>Patrick Chappatte </strong>was born in Karachi to Swiss and Lebanese parents. From 1995 to 1998, he lived in New York, where he worked for the <em>New York Times</em> and <em>Newsweek</em>. Every week he supplies the headline cartoon for the Genevan daily <em>Le Temps</em> and also illustrates for the <em>International Herald Tribune</em> and <em>Neue Zürcher Zeitung</em>. He also produces cartoon-reports, notably on the rebels in Côte d’Ivoire and from behind the scenes at the Elysée Palace.</p>

<p><strong><a href="http://monde-arabe.arte.tv/wp-content/uploads/GADOAutoportrait_small1.jpg"><img class="alignleft" title="GADOAutoportrait_small" src="http://monde-arabe.arte.tv/wp-content/uploads/GADOAutoportrait_small1.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="167" /></a><a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/GADO-CARTOONS/164557967185" target="_blank">Gado </a></strong>(Godfrey Amon Mwampwemba) was born in 1969 in Tanzania. He started producing caricatures at 15 before becoming a freelancer for the <a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/" target="_blank">Daily News</a>, <a href="http://www.businesstimes.com.sg/" target="_blank">Business Times</a> and <a href="http://www.express.co.uk/home" target="_blank">The Express</a>. In 1992, he worked for the <a href="http://www.nationmedia.com/" target="_blank">Nation Media Group</a> and published his cartoons in the<a href="http://www.nation.co.ke/" target="_blank"> Daily Nation</a>, the largest newspaper in Eastern and Central Africa based in Nairobi, Kenya. In 1999, Gado was elected Kenyan cartoonist of the year.</p>

<p><a href="http://monde-arabe.arte.tv/wp-content/uploads/potrait-dilem2.jpg"><img class="alignleft" title="potrait-dilem" src="http://monde-arabe.arte.tv/wp-content/uploads/potrait-dilem2.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a><strong>Ali Dilem</strong> began his career as a cartoonist with the daily Le Jeune Indépendant in 1990 then joined Le Matin in 1991 and La Liberté in 1996. He also works for the French programme Kiosque on TV5. The cartoonist is known for his outspokenness against the Bouteflika regime, cartoons which have earned him no fewer than sixty trials. On October 11 2010, Dilem was made a Chevalier of Arts and Letters after receiving a score of international awards, including the International Press Cartoon Prize in 2000.</p>

<p><a href="http://monde-arabe.arte.tv/wp-content/uploads/MANA-NEYESTANI.jpg"><img class="alignleft" title="MANA-NEYESTANI" src="http://monde-arabe.arte.tv/wp-content/uploads/MANA-NEYESTANI.jpg" alt="" width="100" height="123" /></a><strong><strong></strong></strong>Born in Tehran, Iran in 1973, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mana_Neyestani" target="_blank"><strong>Mana Neyestani</strong></a> trained as an architect in Tehran University, but began his carrer in 1990 as a cartoonist and illustrator for many cultural, political, literary and economic magazine. With the rise of Iranian reformist newspapers in 1999, he became an editorial cartoonist. In 2006, he was sent to jail because of a cartoon. Neyestani is now living in Paris, as a member of ICORN (the International Cities of Refuge Network).</p>
