Bado: Bashar Al-Assad and the Olympic peace

In partnership with “Cartooning for Peace“, once a week ARTE is publishing a press cartoon on events unfolding in the Arab world by illustrators involved in the various countries, but also by western cartoonists. This week: Bado (Canada).

Recipient of the Canadian National Newspaper Awards in 1991, Guy Badeaux has worked as a cartoonist for the Ottawa daily newspaper Le Droit since 1981, and his work has also been published in several other newspapers, such as The Gazette, Le Devoir, and Jour Hebdo. In addition, he was editor-in-chief of Portfolio: The Year’s Best Canadian Editorial Cartoonsfrom 1985 to 2007. He is currently the treasurer of the Association of Canadian Editorial Cartoonists.
